i am mba by education and i am working at a nationalised bank as an investment officer,most of the part of my job is related to cross sell the life insurance products and mutual fund products,now i want to become a actuary.i have qualified for enterence in institute of actuaries of india for membership.i want to know what will be the future of insurance industry?? and what will be career growth in actuarial profession.i have worked with investment and mostly life insurance companies in past,and have an experience of 3 years of cross selling in life insurance and mutual fund selling,so will it beneficial for me and is this sales experiance countable in actuarial profession.please suggest.

I went thro ur site and the following information came to my notice. Can anyone pls guide me reg. whom to contact for career in LIC as Actuarial Apprentices. Actuarial Apprentices with LIC The Life Insurance Corporation of India takes in candidates who are Graduates/ Postgraduates with Mathematics and Statistics as main subjects with 60% or more marks in aggregate and coming in the age-group 18-25 years. The selection is based on a written test conducted by LIC which consists of two papers. Paper I includes Essay Writing (Hindi or English) and paper II comprising of Mathematics or Statistics or Actuarial Science. Candidates who have passed one or more examination of the ASI or Institute of Actuaries (London) or those having PG Diploma in Actuarial Science with more than 50% marks in aggregate are exempted from appearing for the exams.

I have done M.Sc Mathematics and B.Sc(H) Mathematics from University of Delhi and have cleared 4 CT Series Actuarial Science papers from Institute of Actuaries of India and have done Base/SAS and till now I could not get a job in Actuarial field.Could you please suggest me how I can get a job in this field.
