On my bleeding heart bush, after the hearts were done blooming there appeared the little pods with seed like things inside each pod. Are they seeds that can be dries and grown into more bleeding heart bushes.

Last year (2008) I planted a Bleeding Heart in the front of my house in good organic soil. I followed the directions on water and the plant gets morning sun and mid-afternoon shade until night. This year the blooms are smaller and lack the bright pink of a healthy looking flower. They are darker and look underdeveloped and just plain sad. Help...

I got some bare root bleeding hearts but I can't tell which end goes into the ground. HElP. the ball is close to the woody part and the other end looks like roots. does the woody part stay above ground and the ball or bulb like pc. go into the ground?
