GMAT is precisely a test of the suitability of a candidate to join management courses through the process of an entrance test. Generally, the GMAT reading comprehension passages are long, obscure and are asked from subjects like Science, Social Science and Business. One must be good at skimming and be able to identify the types of passage he is attempting and the viewpoints of the author. This helps in answering those questions correctly where the test-makers often try to confuse the students by providing nearly same ideas in all answer choices. While approaching the test, one should frequently ask a question to oneself like What is the central theme of the passage? What is that the author wants to highlight? What is his point of view? etc. The application of these strategies coupled with one’s attention for detail would really prove beneficial to optimize one’s score in this section.
