Present Campus Atmosphere: The campus culture at MBA programs is very unique if you choose to pursue your MBA abroad. Programs try to create the most rewarding student body possible—you meet successful mid-career executives, young passionate entrepreneurs, and creative thinkers of many different kinds. This interaction with future leaders and innovators is a major reason to pursue an MBA at an elite foreign university. Networking: Networking plays an essential role in MBA programs abroad. Classes are very interactive, classroom discussions heated, and new people being introduced daily. Students are introduced to qualified alum—CEO's and inventors and venture capitalists—and encouraged to make a positive impression. An introduction to the global network of MBA's from more than 50 countries is just one of the many strengths a good B-school offers. Innovation Everyday: People are there to make a significant and positive impact. Innovative and proactive thinking are heavily encouraged and students encouraged to meet future business partners on campus, backed by the university infrastructure. Top colleges rarely look at the boring adequate profile. Importance of essays: Essays are an integral part of the process. To distinguish between similar profiles, programs look for the personality revealed via essays. 38% of Indian applicants were rejected after a 700+ GMAT score, probably because their convictions did not match their school marks. Americans, for instance, look for students who can admit failure, a practice not often conducted in India. GMAT: A good GMAT score does not guarantee admission. Similarly, a bad GMAT score does not disqualify you automatically. It is simply part of an application made up of your marks, your experiences, your clarity of vision, and your ability to market yourself to the admissions committee. Think hard. Take your time before applying to just any school. Every B school is looking for people going places — where are you going?
