The International Society for Krishna Consciousness also better known as ISKCON temple is located in Rajaji Nagar premises in Bangalore city. This hugecultural complex was inaugurated in 1997.
ISKCON Sri Radha Krishna Chandra Mandir, Bangalore offers a truly commendable experience to visitors and devotees from a spiritual, architectural and general perspective.
The ISKCON temple complex in Bangalore attracts visitors from different parts of the world throughout the year.
As one enters the magnificent gates through the Gopuram, the lush green gardens across the sidewalk invites us to the attractive campus. An elevated platform takes one to the inside of the temple premises.
There are deities of Narasimha, Sri Srinivasa Govinda and Lord Venkateswara within the temple premises. The Utsava deities of Sri Kishna, Rukmini, Sathyabhma are also in the temple along with the Lotus feet impression of Srimati Padmavathi Devi, Goddess of fortune.
The gold-plated dwajastambha or the flag post at 17meters height and the gold plated kalash shikara at 8.5meters height, shimmer even in the night sky leaving the onlookers speechless. Yet another salient feature of the temple is the free distribution of delicious Sri Krishna prasadam to all the visitors during the darshana hours.
Some of the noteworthy and well thought of amenities for visitors include meticulously clean surroundings, drinking water, hygienic washrooms, elevators for the old and specially-abled, adequate car parking facilities, visible signboards, many varieties of eatables etc…
ISKCON does not discriminate its visitors on the basis of
religion, color or socio-economic status. The temple is open for darshana from
4.15 am to 5 am, 7.15 am to 12.50 pm and 4 pm to 8.20 pm everyday.
