Following their homecoming on Thursday, the T20 World Cup winning Indian team celebrated their win in style with their legion of fans in a victory parade from Marine Drive to the iconic Wankhede Stadium, where a grand felicitation event was held later. Let us revisit some of the most iconic moments of the festivities in Mumbai.

Marine Drive filled up with thousand of fans


Argentina football fans crowded the streets following the Lionel Messi-led side's FIFA World Cup win in 2022, and Indian fans wanted to replicate the same for Men in Blue after the the 50-over World Cup in 2023. Virat gets perfect farewell from T20Is


Once left heartbroken at the same ground during 2016 T20 World Cup semifinals against the West Indies, Virat's career took a turn for good as he returned to Wankhede as a T20 World Cup champion, a title that he got to earn only after four brilliant campaigns, including one-man-army efforts in 2014 and 2016 and a memorable knock of 76 runs in the 2024 final after managing just 75 runs in the first seven innings.
