Ace Designer Nazia Syed opened the show on 17th Sept 2016 with her collection titled Nod to Normcore. One of her most personal collections till date, the angular, androgynous pieces in this collection are curated mix of checks, solids and lines. While norm core speaks of clean lines that defy the gender divide, this collection is a play on the title – which combines feminine, draped separates with straight and structure pieces. Focusing as always on the cut, these powerful pieces speak to the modern woman, who isn’t afraid to flaunt her femininity and create her own trends ‘Nod to Normcore,’ collection is a statement of future forward, powerful separates that can easily transition itself from chic office wear to casual couture. Jaya Mahesh- Leading Body Sculptor and fitness expert for celebrities and socialites from Coimbatore walked on the ramp as show stopper for Nazia.
New York based designer Sanjana Jon closed the day 1 of Volvo Cars Coimbatore fashion week 2016 with her collection titled ‘celebrate girl child’. Well known south Indian play back singer and actor Vijay Yesudas walked the ramp for Sanjana Jon as the show stopper.
