Glimpses of Commissioning of ICGS Aryaman and Atulya by ShriSunil Kumar Kohli, Idas Financial Advisor to Defence Services on 21st October 2016 at Ernakulam Wharf, Kochi.
ICGS Aryaman & Atulya are the 18th and 19th vessels of its class in the series of 20 Fast Patrol Vessels being built by Cochin Shipyard Limited. The ships are 50 m long, displace 317 tons of water and have a maximum designed speed of 33 knots. The ships have an endurance of 1500 Nm at an economical speed of 13 Knots.
The ships are fitted with state-of-the-art communication and navigational equipment. 40/60 Bofors gun is the main armament of the ships.
The ships are capable of undertaking multifarious tasks as surveillance, interdiction, Search & rescue and medical evacuation. Each ships has a complement of 05 Officers & 34 enrolled Personnel. |
