Vivek Oberoy, son of veteran actor Suresh Oberoy lives in Mumbai with his parents, brother and sister. After earning a masters Degree in film acting from New York, Vivek started his career in Hindi films as a scriptwriter. He got his first break in Ram Gopal Varma's gangster flick "Company". The character he played in the film, that of an underworld kingpin only added charisma to his persona. Even though he didn't appear in his debut as a chocolate Romeo as the other new comers did, his ruggedly handsome face with innocent appeal and silky hair falling over his forehead made him a suave looking actor. He became one of the most admired actors among the youngsters who started imitating his hair style and mannerisms. There is a human side to Vivek, he goes out of his way to help people in need.
