Srikanth or Sri, the good looking South Indian film actor is a leading contender among the top actors in the Tamil film industry. He participated in the Madras Medical college fashion show in 97' which helped him to get into modeling and later into films. He debuted in a Tamil movie 'Roja Koottam' (2002) and his convincing performance got him an instant fan following especially female fans. Then he did 'April Maathathil' (2002) with Sneha, 'Manasellam' (2003) and 'Parthiban Kanavu' (2003) again a blockbuster with Sneha. All these films gave him a star actor status. Srikanth - Sneha pair on and off screen has always generated curiosity and excitement. He played romantic leads in most of his initial movies, then he changed his style to do action packed roles in films like Joot (2003) which did not work well for him. Now he is back doing what he is good at- romantic leads in movies like 'Mercury Pookal' (2006), 'Chaturangam' and has launched into distribution of films.
