Born to renowned parents, the Nawab of Pataudi, former Indian
cricket captain and yesteryears beauty Sharmila Tagore, Saif spent
most of his formative years in a boarding school in England. With
looks exactly like his famous mother, especially his eyes, he became
popular amongst teenyboppers with his debut as a hero in the film
Aashik Awara. The film was a hit but unfortunately he couldn't follow
the same with his other films. People considered him a terrible
dancer and a poor actor and he slowly began to fade away until 2001,
Saif re-entered the silver screen, through the smash success of
Dil Chahta Hai. The movie proved his versatility as an actor. He
looked terrific, and all that initial awkwardness had vanished.
He showed more confidence and acting talent in his later films.
He received the Film Fare best Comedian award for his role in Hum
Tum and the same role won him the National Film Award for best actor.
Parineetha proved to be yet another achievement. This suave handsome
actor has a definite female fan following.
