Waris Shah – Ishq Daa Waaris is based
on the life of legendary Sufi poet Waris Shah who wrote the
greatest love epic of all times ' Heer Ranjha'.
This film has entered the Oscar Awards for
2006. It's a tribute to director Manoj Punj who died in Mumbai
on October 22, a week after the film's grand premiere in California.
Juhi Chawla shines in her potrayal and her
costumes deserve special mention. All the other actors lend
ample support. On the whole it is an appealing fare.
