Famous 70s actress Leena Chandawarkar is making a comeback after 20
years in Karan Razdan's 'Eight' that will be launched on March 8. Leena
is making her comeback as a singer in 'Eight'.
The movie is about a paranormal thriller and the song that Leena is
singing is about a girl who is lonely and is missing her lover.
Leena says that she is not a trained singer but it was her late husband,
the legendary singer Kishore Kumar who made her sing. She had sung earlier
in Kishore Kumar's 'Mamta Ki Chaon Mein' but after went into hibernation
after his untimely death.
Leena feels that she is making an attempt as a singer, which will be
a tribute to her late husband. She sang quite a few songs with Kishore
on stage, especially the number 'Mujhe Thand Lag Rahi Hai' from 'Main
Sunder Hoon'.
Leena vied for the number one spot as a heroine in Bollywood and appeared
in a whole string of fluff entertainers with all the top romantic actors
of her day. Her prominent films are 'Manchali', 'Mein Sundar Hoon',
'Mehboob Ki Mehndi', 'Humjoli', 'Bidaai' and 'Man Ka Meet'.
