The movie partly based on a real life incident, lacks the grittiness it requires to get the message across.

The story begins with an IAS officer Prasad (Sanjay Suri) shooting himself leaving a suicide note. The incident creates an uproar and calls for an investigation by the CBI. The investigation by the team, including CBI chief Pradhan (Mohan Joshi) and IPS officer Abhimanyu ( Dino Morea) reveal the truth.

Prasad settles down in the city with his loving wife Kunti (Namrata Shirodhkar) and daughter. They lead a peaceful life, until Bunty (Dayal), Minister Rameshwari Verma's (Kunika) son comes into their life. He takes a fancy for Kunti and rapes her, destroying their life. A distressed Prasad tries to book the culprit but fails due to the corrupt and unjust system and he commits suicide out of frustration.

Abhimanyu along with his investigative journalist girl friend Reena (Heena) tries to crack the case and tries to collect evidence against Bunty with the help of a social worker Yogi. But the court acquits Bunty and he is set free. This urges Abhimanyu to convince Kunti not to fear society and to come out of her low profile, face the world and seek justice. She does it with vigour and books the culprit who ruined her life.

There has a been a number of movies in similar lines and there is no novelty to the theme. Though the story had room for histrionics the direction as well as the screenplay works against it. The screenplay is so predictable that one knows what's coming next. The pace is irregular throughout, especially the second half is full of un-needed song sequences. Music is just 'chalta' so is the cinematography.

Performance wise Namrata lacks the fire needed for the protagonist who fight for justice against all odds. Sanjay Suri as her husband displays his distress convincingly. Dino Morea and Heena are just okay.

Overall the film lacks conviction. It is going to be a failure at the box office.
