In the movie 'Darr' (1993), Shahrukh played the role of an anti-hero, which was a big risk for his career at that time. But he enacted the character of Rahul, a passionate, obsessive lover with élan. From the stammering utterance of I love you K-K-Ki-Kiran, to the sulking nature in the presence of others, to the fire in the eyes when anybody touches his love Kiran.. his portrayal deserved the accolade he received- the Filmfare Best Villain Award (1994).
