"Taal" was the biggest money maker and
most watched movie of 1999 and the most nominated film of the year
bagging 17 Filmfare awards. This was the first Hindi movie to
appear in the Top 20 Box Office Charts in the USA.
The film was a mega musical love story directed by Subhash Ghai
from the Mukta Arts stable. It's main highlights are Aishwary Rai's
dance performance and the beautiful shots of Himachal Pradesh.
Another highlight of the movie was A.R.Rahman's music. It broke
all previous records. There are 12 songs in the film with Lyrics by Anand Bakshi.
