A remake of 1978 horror film of the same name, it is the story of a
helpless babysitter who is terrified by an anonymous phone caller.
Teenager Jill Johnson played by Camilla Belle, is forced to baby sit the
two kids of her father's friend who has a gorgeous lake front mansion.
As Jill spends the night alone at that big house, she started to get nervous
with the presence of a creepy black cat, strange noises, flickering lights
and the sound of howling wind. She couldn't even figure out how the TV
works. Then she started to get phone call after phone call from a heavy
breathing man. When she contacted the police, they traced the call and
told her that it is coming from within the same house. This new finding
made Jill more terrified. Find out more about the fate of Jill and the
strange caller.

Director Simon
West tries his best to narrate a horror tale. He tries to make the scenes
tensed and filled with scared characters but fails to create the intensity
required to classify the film in the horror genre. With a twist in the
tale, he tries to create some paranoia in the viewers but it is not at
all effective and the film has a bizarre and unsatisfying ending.
Camilla Belle as Jill tries to present a decent performance. Tommy Flanagan
as the anonymous caller do justice to his role.
As a remake of the 1978 horror thriller, this film is way below par. Some movies
aren't worth making as a remake and this is one of them. Film has some violence
as well as crude language and as an entertainer it doesn't have much value.
You
should save that trip to the theater.
