A cleverly animated comedy with a delightful story about the love of
animals.
Wallace (Voiced by Peter Sallis) is an inventor living in a small English
community and Gromit is an innovative dog who is his partner. Wallace
has had many unsuccessful business adventures but he kept on landing
new ideas.
The citizens of that community are great garden lovers and they have
an annual Giant Vegetable Competition that is hosted by Lady Tottington
(Voiced by Helena Bonham-Carter). This year the community had been infested
by rabbits that threaten to destroy all their vegetables. Now, Wallace
comes up with a new invention that he calls Mind-o-Matic, which uses
brainwaves to alter the thinking pattern of the rabbits so that they
will have a great dislike for vegetables. Wallace and Gromit formed
a company named Anti-Pesto.
Lady
Tottington hires Wallace's company to control the rabbit population
using their new technology. But unfortunately things went wrong with
Wallace's experimental technology and now there is a gigantic Were-Rabbit
running around and eating up all the vegetation in that community. Find
out more about the plans of the angry community members to destroy the
Were-Rabbit as well as the entire rabbit population.
The two co-directors Nick Park and Steve Box narrate a complex animated
tale with great charm and wit. The film is filled with visually stunning
animation that covers the interaction between people and the animals.
It has good jokes, good humor, great action as well as great suspense.
The script is also excellent.
The two leading characters Wallace and Gromit carries the film. The
voice contributions of Helena Bonham-Carter is also great. This could
be the best animated film of the year which could qualify for an Oscar
Award. The movie is highly entertaining and it will be enjoyable for
the kids and adults alike.
We rate this movie VERY GOOD.
