Hall and a fellow scientist Terry Rapson ( Ian Holm) discover that
alarming climate changes are occurring in many parts of the world.
Los Angeles is suddenly leveled by many tornados, New York City is
buried under ice and snow, many super storms are hitting the Northern
Hemisphere and in a matter of days top half of the Earth will be frozen.
Millions of terrified survivors are struggling to find shelter.
The mass evacuation sends millions of people to the Mexican border
and to enter Mexico illegally. At this point Jack draws a line across
the map of United States and writes off everyone north of the line,
then he heads to New York City to find his son Sam (Jake Gyllenhaal)
who may be still alive.
Movie has brilliant and visually opulent special effects. Consequences
of planetary pollution could be an eye opener to mankind. Even though
the movie has too many inconsequential characters, and many twists
and turns, environmental activists will applaud the message that it
brings out. The movie treats Mother Nature with respect and blames
mankind for their reckless and inconsiderate behavior in polluting
the air. If you see this movie, you may get concerned and think will
there be "a morning after" The Day After Tomorrow.
We rate this movie Good.
