A French drama, a remake of 1947 French film, is a tale of a school teacher who inspired the children with the love of music by starting a chorus at the school.

The story takes place in France at a school named 'Le Found De L'eatng' for the troubled young kids. When a new teacher Clement Mathieu (Gerard Jugnot) arrived at the school, the authoritarian headmaster Rachin(Francois Berleand) was not thrilled. When Mathieu decides to start a school choir, Mr.Rachin was very unhappy.

Clement manages to start the choir and tried to help the kids by inspiring them with music and turned the class of unruly children into a well behaved chorus of beautiful singers. Incidently he paid more attention to one of the most troublesome kids and he flirted with his beautiful single mother with an eye to develop a romantic relationship with her. He wrote songs for them to sing and did succeed in motivating the children. He brought them some dignity, courage and self confidence.

Director Christophe Barratier adopted an old theme and made an emotionally poignant film. Even though the story is predictable, it is very sentimental and touching.

Gerard Jugnot as Clement Mathieu put up an excellent performance. He very well portray the simplicity and gentleness of a lovable teacher. The kids have beautiful voice and great talents. It is a greatly touching film with memorable music that will stay with you for a while after seeing it. Definetly this film will be a crowd pleaser.

We rate this movie GOOD.
