'New York Minute' is a teenage comedy in which the popular Olsen twin sisters play suburban teens having a wild day of fun and fantasy in New York City.

The movie opens with Jane Ryan (Ashley Olsen) dreaming about appearing naked in public. The twin sisters, Jane and Roxanne Ryan (Mary Kate Olsen) have nothing in common.

Jane is a smart super achiever and Roxy is a goofer who enjoys cutting classes and fooling around. The sisters end up taking the same train from Long Island to New York City, Jane to give a speech to qualify for an Oxford University scholarship and Roxy is cutting class to attend a concert by the Pop band Simple Plan.

Roxy is under surveillance of the truant officer Max Lomax( Eugene Levy). The sisters also have to deal with Bennie Bang (Andy Richter) who is after a microchip that had been deposited in Roxy's purse. Bennie is an adopted son a Chinatown gangster who wants to make money by selling the pirated copies of music and video from the originals embedded into the microchip. The sisters also gets turned on to young men like a Senator's son ( Jared Padalecki) and bicycle messenger ( Riley Smith). The sisters has a tour of Harlem and one of it's beauty parlors where they get a makeover. On the whole they have a hell of a wacky day in NewYork.

The movie has utilized the beautiful Olsen sisters hot bodies in every sense by showing them running around in towels, robes, tight shots as well as naked. The sisters have tried to please the teenagers as well as matured men with their beauty and charm and gorgeous hair. Movie might make the teenagers giddy and delighted. Out of the 91 minutes running time of this movie, most of the minutes are senseless and meaningless and hence the title is not appropriate.
