Moving into their campus house and posing
as their cheerleading coach, Roland tries to protect these witnesses. These
witnesses did not have a clear cut idea what the shooter looked like, which made it
very difficult for Roland to proceed with the case. Living with five girls was
not easy for Roland. He has some nice moments with Barb who has a crush on him.
But he is smitten by one of the girl's literature professors Molly
McCarthy.
Roland as a man dedicated to his job, has to put a strain on his
relationship with these young females. Will Roland be able to control his
emotions and carry on with his job successfully?.
The director Stephen Herek, unsuccessfully narrates a comical story. The movie has a series of
disconnected episodes which serves no real purpose. A murder is thrown in, to get
the story going. He could have made it into a good comedy with Tommy Lee and
five beautiful and talented actresses. It turned out to be an unoriginal comedy
with mediocre humor. As a whole, it is a badly directed, badly produced movie.
Tommy
Lee Jones as Roland do justice to his role. Five beautiful girls as Texas
cheerleaders are okay. The Entertainer brings some comic relief.
