In this movie, director Wang enlighten the
interracial and social problem of colour and class and wants people to
think who they are before they fall in love. The movie also gives a peek
to behind the scene workings of a top notch hotel. In this case Marisa
and Christopher come from 'Two different worlds'- Marisa a struggling
hotel maid and Christopher a high flying politician. They had to over
come a lot of obstacles to be together. But the bright side of the movie
shows that it is great to have a dream and try to achieve it than not
having a dream at all.
Jennifer Lopez puts up a mediocre performance
while Oscar nominee Fiennes performs his down to earth character with
relish. Bob Hoskins who plays Lionel, a very proper butler and Stanley
Tucci as Christopher Marshall's manager does their parts well. This is
one of the best movies made in Manhattan. A light entertainer for the
season.
