In school, there were lots of gangs or groups among the students.
Initially Cady falls in with the outcasts Janis ( Lizzy Caplan ) and
Damian ( Daniel Franzese). But her beauty and innocence attracts the
attention of Queen Bee Regina ( Rachel McAdams) and her devoted gang.
The outcasts were looking for an opportunity to bring down Regina and
her popular three girl (Amanda Seyfried, Lacey Chabert) clique 'The
Plastics'. They persuades Cady to pretend to like the Plastics and hang
out with them and gather whatever information she needed. She had to
do things that she didn't want to, like a romantic entanglement with
Regina's ex-boyfriend Aaron( Jonathan Bennett) and she completely changes
from the naive, innocent girl that she was. But in the end she realises
her mistake and learns a lesson or two.
The movie portrays Cady's transformation from a nice innocent girl
to a selfish bitch, very well. Lohan thrives in her role from the beginning
to the end and her performance is excellent. The movie is full of dark
comedy with mean and cruel jokes. As the movie dissects each and every
move of the high school life, it will be very well accepted by the teenagers.
Written by Saturday Night Live writer Tina
Fey the movie adapts the basic background material from Rosalind
Wiseman's nonfiction best-seller 'Queen Bees & Wannabees.
We rate this movie Good.
