George Clooney plays Miles Massey, a wealthy and famous Beverley Hills divorce attorney who is bored with his success and on the look out for a real challenge. Catherine Zeta-Jones plays Marilyn Rexroth , a gorgeous sexy fortune hunter who wants to take her rich husband , a client of Miles, to the cleaners. Marilyn and her attorney (Cedric The Entertainer ) were sure of a lucrative judgment in their favor. But Miles won the case for his client and left her broke. But Marilyn comes back strong by marrying an oil tycoon ( Billy Bob Thornton )and she wants to take revenge on Miles. But the story turns around and Miles end up falling in love with this sexy woman..

Intolerable Cruelty from Coen Brothers is a romantic comedy. Suave Clooney and the ravishing Zeta- Jones are a kind of ideal romantic pair. Movie is all about the 'business' of divorce in a world of riches and glamour but low morals; and a tale of love affair between a divorce lawyer and a gorgeous divorcee.

The movie is highly entertaining. It is a comedy which shows the darker side of love and marriage. All the supporting actors does a real good job including Billy Bob Thornton as a dull-seeming Texan, Geoffrey as Rush Donovan Donaly a manic soap opera producer, Cedric the Entertainer as a private detective, Edward Herrmann as Rex Rexroth, a philanderer, Richard Jenkins as Freddy Bender another divorce lawyer etc. The cinematography by Roger Deakins is excellent. This is one of the funniest movies of the year 2003..
