"It's All About Love" is a science fiction, tale of love in the year 2021. The movie deals with the reunion between John (Joaquin Phoenix) and his estranged wife, famous Polish figure skater Elena (Claire Danes). John arrives in New York on his way to Canada, to meet Elena at the airport, so that she can sign divorce papers. But she is not there and strange things start to happen. People from Elena's inner circle takes John to a hotel and he notices that these people are developing some kind of conspiracy to trap Elena.

In that year 2021,weird things are happening. In mid July, it is snowing in New York and in Uganda, gravity has taken off its senses and the people have to tie ropes to their ankles or they will fly away. People are dying from lack of love, falling down in the middle of the day.

Meanwhile, John's brother (Sean Penn) is circling the globe in an airliner, looking into the human folly and talking about it to John over his cell phone. At this point John realizes that Elena is in trouble and he wants to help her escape from the people holding her down. John and Elena rediscover their love one more time, under a confused situation. 

Director Vinterberg spins a very strange tale through this movie. He wants the audience to understand the strange situation that John and Elena are in. He tries to put some light on human existence and the place love has in it. There are many subplots that run throughout the film which doesn't make much sense at all. Finally, the film disintegrates and turns the whole thing into a mess. Movie has too many 'Symbolism' and a boring story line.
