An action comedy drama, it's a tale of revenge of four brothers who are trying to get even with their adoptive mother's murderers.

Evelyn is killed during a grocery store holdup. Good hearted Evelyn had spent most of her life placing many kids in foster care. She herself had adopted four youngsters whom she raised herself. Now they are big guys, the Mercer boys, Bobby (Mark Wahlberg), Angel (Tyrese Gibson), Jeremiah (Andre Benjamin) and the youngest one Jack (Garrett Hedlung).

The four brothers comes home for their mother's funeral. The cops investigating the case told them that Evelyn's murder was purely accidental and she happened to be the wrong person at the wrong place at the wrong time. Some how the brothers didn't believe the cops. They started their own investigation to track down the killers and they want revenge at any cost. Find out how these four guys are going to avenge their mothers murder. 

Talented director John Singleton skillfully narrates a story of vengeance, filled with action and suspense. He puts great emphasis on the relationship between the adopted brothers. Even though these four guys have different ethnicities, they are raised as brothers and have strong feelings and unity among them. 

The talented cast, especially the brothers, present a very good performance. They have good chemistry among them. Sofia Vergara as Angel's girlfriend do justice to her role. She is tough and knows exactly how to handle different situations. The film has suspense, humor and action. The vengeance element gives the film a kind of Western style. Though the film has profanity, nudity and violence, it has good entertainment value. 

Its an emotionally vibrant story that can really touch your heart at times. We rate this movie GOOD.
