It is an animated children's comedy based on the classic story of 'Chicken
Little'.
After shouting "The sky is falling, The sky is falling", Chicken Little
(Voiced by Zach Braff) gets into big trouble. Actually he was hit on the head by an acorn that confused him with an imaginative
thought. The unfortunate acorn incident created a panic in his community of Oakey Oaks.
With his foolishness, Chicken Little lost his credibility with his father Buck
Cluck (Garry Marshall) who publicly ridiculed the story. Chick Little becomes the
laughing stock of the town and kids at the school teased him throughout the
year. His friends like Abby Mallard, and Fish Out of Water, also thought that there is something wrong with
Chicken Little.

In order to
regain his credibility with his family, friends and the community, Little
joined the school base ball team and becomes a hero by scoring the winning
run that made them the champions. But before the championship celebration
ends, a piece of sky lands in his bedroom. This time, the sky really begins
to fall due to an alien invasion. Now Chicken little is in a big dilemma,
should he cry again that "the sky is falling"?. But he decides
to call his friends and they all together try to save the world from an
alien invasion.
Director Mark Dindal tries to narrate the adventures of Chicken Little
with some grace and wit. But the method of story telling is very poor
at certain points. He tries to emphasize the dangers of overeating to
certain unpredictable situations. He presents a classic story to the young
and the old alike. The film lacks the usual emotional resonance that a
classic story normally carries.
Many popular stars provided the voice for the characters, like Don Knotts as Mayor Turkey Lurkey, Amy Sedaris as Foxy
Loxy, Fred Willard and Catherine O'Hara as the alien dad and mom and Zach Braff as Chicken Little.
The animation is good and the visuals are bright and colorful, but the storytelling lacks the effectiveness of a classic
tale. It is a good feature cartoon for the kids but for the adults there is not much to
see. The kids will be delighted to see this film.
