A musical comedy, set in a 19th century European village is a tale of a young man who marry a mysterious Corpse Bride.
Victor Van Dort (Voiced by Johnny Depp) is the son of a newly rich Nell
and William Van Dort. His mother wants Victor to marry Victoria Everglot
(Voiced by Emily Watson), the daughter of a blue-blooded baron Finis Everglot
and his wife Maudeline.
Shy and nervous Victor had a hard time practicing the vows during a rehearsal
session, moreover he almost set his future mother in law on fire. On the
eve of the wedding Victor was vigorously practicing his vows alone while
walking in the woods. He happened to place the wedding ring on a twig
and suddenly a hand grabs his hand. It is the Corpse Bride, Emily (voiced
by Helena Bonham Carter) who is awakened and in love with Victor. She
took him to the underworld. Now Victor is in a dilemma, there are two
people that he has to marry, one in the Land of the Living and the other

Talented director
Tim Burton together with Michael Johnson, skillfully narrates an unusual
romantic story. He very well differentiate the Land of the Living and
the land of the Dead. The characters are great and the animation is
wonderful. He produces an Oscar worthy Animated Feature Film.
The voice talents of Johnny Depp, Emily Watson, Helena Bonham Carter and Christopher
Lee are fabulous. Depp as the young Victor is very naive and charming.
The movie is a great entertainer for all ages. It has humor, horror as well as a romantic
love story. The animation is beautiful and classical. The color and lighting are wonderful
and the voice acting is great. Beautifully created with a number of familiar music makes it
one of the best animated film ever produced. Overall it is a great film.
