'Bombay Dreams' is a glamourous musical play. It is a love story as well as a story of dreams and ambitions. Akaash is a handsome young slum-dweller who is blessed with charisma and charm. Beautiful Priya is the daughter of a prominent Bollywood film director'.

Akaash always had dreams of becoming a Bollywood movie star. His fateful encounter with Priya, give way to a rags to riches romance tale. With Priya's help Akaash's dreams seems to be within his reach, but his road to stardom was not a smooth one.

Meera Syal's script has a perfect balance between Bollywood set up and Western musical drama. Music by A.R.Rahman the uncrowned 'King of Indian Pop', has provided an excellent combination by mixing Indian film sounds with Western orchestral melodies. The play is overwhelmed with the astounding musical talent of A.R.Rahman. The songs are fabulous and the tunes are memorable. A.R.Rahman has maintained the balance between Indian melody and western beats. At the same time, the spectacular dancing fountains and erotic wet saries gives the play a real Western touch. The wonderful cast is vibrant, energetic and charismatic.

The whole play is lush, exciting, colourful, romantic and visually stunning. Costumes are great. It could be a special experience watching this play.
