The movie directed by Jesse Dylan and written by Adam Herz is a teen comedy. Jim (Jason Biggs ) and Michelle (Alyson Hannigan ) were known to each other for a long time and finally they decided to get married. As the wedding day approaches, Jim has yet to pick between two close friends Finch ( Eddie Kaye Thomas) and Kevin ( Thomas Ian Nicholes ) as his best man.

He had ruled out his old friend Stifler ( Seann William Scott). Actually Stifler was not even invited for the wedding for the fear that he might ruin the function with his rude manners. Stifler also has an eye on Michelle's beautiful younger sister , Cadence ( January Jones ). But Stifler gets himself invited and the story takes a comical turn. While Stifler unintentionally cause calamities Finch and Kevin try to avoid them.

The opening sequence is very funny and the rest of the movie is a sequence of loosely connected events, most of which does make a close k nit . As the third movie in the ' American Pie' series, the movie has its moments and is a great improvement over the ' American Pie 2'. Some parts of the movie are funny and hilarious. Performance wise Thomas as Kevin comes out as the best of the lot. He has matured well. Stifler is as intolerable as in the past movies maybe a little over the top. Some of the characters in the past sequels are missing in action.
