What is it like living in the shadows of a famous, popular beautiful sibling? Well, ask Kiki Harrison (Julia Roberts) who is the publicist/agent to her famous actress sister Gwen Harrison (Catherine Zeta-Jones).

The dynamic Hollywood couple consisting of Gwen and Eddie Thomas (John Cusack) took a turn for the worst and had been estranged for sometime. The last film that these 'American Sweethearts' worked on together have been held by its director Hal Wiedmann (Christopher Walken). Hal insists on previewing their film 'Time Over Time' to the press before its opening. It is the job of press agent Lee Phillips (Billy Crystal) and Kiki to bring the estranged couple back together, at least for the sake of public appearance.

So where is the difficult in this? It lies in Kiki’s long time crush for Eddie. Will the American Sweethearts rule again or will the shadowing sister take the long time love? See this film and find out!

This movie is a fun and laughs film with a twist. It gives an insight to the hypocritical lives of the people behind the world of film making in a light manner.
