It is a drama that deals with the explicit love affair of two ordinary people. 

Matt (O'Brien) an Irish born glaciologist meets Lisa (Margot Stilley) a goofy young American, at Black Rebel Motor Cycle Club concert at London's Brixton Academy. After the concert they had sex in his apartment. Lisa has had many one night stands with a bunch of different people of different nationalities. But this time it is different for her. 

Lisa and Matt kept seeing each other. They went for different concerts of different bands like the Dandy Warhols and Franz Ferinand, together they sniffed cocaine, took vacations and had sex, a lot of it. The beat of the music and the power of cocaine and the desire to have more and more sex were driving their life to a new high. Matt is madly in love with Lisa, but she is not ready to get settled. 

Lisa wants to get back to USA to celebrate Christmas but Matt is not too keen about it. Find out what will happen to this love birds. 

The director Michael Winterbottom vividly explores the sexual side of a young couple's love affair. He touches various issues related to human intimacy and erotic sexual behavior of free spirited youngsters. He included heavy beat music to the film in order to show a relationship between raucous music and sex. Using explicit sex to tell a story is new to a decent modern day film, but according to Winterbottom "the movie is not to arouse people, but to capture something of what it's like to be in love, or to remember in being in love". He skillfully explores aspects of touching, desire for companionship, desire for sex as well as the fun and pleasures of sex. 

O'Brien as Matt presents a wonderful performance. His eagerness to please a woman and to fulfill her physical needs, is very well portrayed. Beautiful Margot Stilley as a sex maniac steals the show. The erotic connection between Matt and Lisa is the backbone of the entire film. The conversation between these two lovers sound real and natural. The movie has plenty of nudity, profanity and hard core sex. If you get offended by explicit sexual scenes, this film is not for you. In a way it is hard to distinguish between a movie with explicit sex and a porn. The classification standard will be different for different people hence it is hard to say this film is a porn. One thing for sure, this film is all about sex, sex and more sex.
