In 'One Hour Photo', Seymour 'Sy' Parrish (Robin Williams) who is an employee at the one hour photo counter in a photo lab goes out of his way to know what his customers want and does it perfectly. Sy who is lonely, is obsessed with long time customers, the Yorkin family, a young couple Will (Michael Vartan) and Nina (Connie Nielsen) and their little boy Jake (Dylan Smith), whose photos he duplicates for his own collection. He imagines himself as a family member of the Yorkins, being invited by them for birthdays, holidays and on all occasions.
Eventually when he discovers that everything was not as perfect as he thought in their married life, everything goes haywire. Sy takes personal interest in the matter and seek extreme measures to remedy the situation. Sy's boss Bill (Gary Cole) firing him for photos unaccounted for, also adds to the situation

'One Hour Photo' is about what can happen when a man is wrenched from his illusions too abruptly and without supervised medical care. Sy turns in a complex portrait of a man who wants to be helpful while concealing the true side of his everyday life. One Hour Photo touches on themes of voyeurism as well as the sadness of loneliness.

Robin Williams gives an astonishing performance, that it is electrifying. Sy's character could be the best role that he has done till date. Connie Nielson as Nina is excellent and Michael Vartan as Will and Gary Cole as Sy's boss has handled their parts well. The debutant Writer/ Director Mr. Romanek has done a graceful job especially the visual impact is appreciable. The camerawork is excellent and it makes you see the world in Sy's point of view.

Overall, the movie though disturbing is good, we rate it as fair.
