Beatles legend Ringo Starr stormed off the sets of the US show "Live
with Regis and Kelly" when producers tried to cut short his performance.
Starr was to perform with Eurythmics singer Dave Stewart singing the
title song from his new album "Liverpool 8". But when Starr
was asked to shorten his performance, he got upset and left the building.
Contactmusic.com reports that Starr's publicist Elizabeth Freund said
that the four-minute-and-15-second song had to be cut short by over
a minute.
Freund's statement reads: "We offered to cut back our chat time
and asked them to fade or go to commercial. They were not willing to
do that and Ringo was not willing to cut it further, so without a compromise
we were not able to stay."
