British-Jewish comedian, writer and actor Bora Sacha Baron Cohen has discovered
there is life after his comic creation "Borat" - he has landed
a plum role in a Steven Spielberg movie.
He has been signed to star as '60s hippie satirist Abbie Hoffman in
"The Trial of the Chicago Seven". This happened just a week
after he announced that he had retired "Borat", following
the success of 2006 movie "Borat: Cultural Learnings of America
for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan", hollywood.com
reports.
Hoffman found fame during the Vietnam War by playing pranks to campaign
against the conflict.
Vincent D'Onofrio previously played Hoffman in 2000 film "Steal
This Movie", which was based on a screenplay written by Hoffman
and his wife Anita.
The movie is slated for release in 2010.
