Anshi National Park
The Anshi National Park is an evergreen tropical rainforest
situated in the North Kannada district in Karnataka. The park covering an area
of 340 sq km is considered as India’s most endangered wildlife park. Anshi lies
on the Karwar- Londa highway and is part of the Dandeli wildlife sanctuary.
Anshi got the designation as National Park in1987. Dandeli is a small town located
on the banks of the Kali river in Karnataka. The forests around this town was
established as Dandeli wildlife sanctuary in 1975 with an area of around 500
sq kms. The Anshi National Park and the adjoining Dandeli wildlife sanctuary
together make up the Dandeli Wildlife Division of the Karnataka Forest Department.

Bandipur National Park
The Bandipur National Park is one of the most fascinating wild-life
centers, established in 1930's by the Mysore Maharajahs. It was once the Mysore
Maharaja’s private hunting park. Later in 1941, it was expanded to adjoin the
Rajiv Gandhi National Park (Nagarhole)in the northwest and Kerala's Wayanad
Wildlife Sanctuary in the southwest and Tamil Nadu's Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary

Bannerghatta National Park
Bannerghatta National Park established in the year 1971, lies
22 km. away from Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka state. It covers around
104.27 sq.kms which includes ten Reserve Forests of Anekal Range of the Bangalore
Forest Division. Bannerghatta comprises the National Park, an Aquarium, a Zoo,
Children's park, Crocodile Farm, Snake park, Prehistoric animals park and a
Museum. Safaris to see tigers and lions in vehicles and on elephants is the
main attraction of the Park. Tickets for entry into the Zoo and Safaris are

Nagarhole National Park
Nagarhole National Park is one among India's best wildlife parks, established
in 1955 as a sanctuary and designated as a National park in 1975. Recently it
was renamed as Rajiv Gandhi National Park after the late Prime Minister of India.

Kudremukh National Park
The Kudremukh or Horse
Face Range is situated 95 Kms southwest of Chickmagalur town. The broad hills
which overlook the Arabian Sea are chained to one another with deep valleys
and steep precipices and is so named because of the unique shape of the Kudremukh
peak which has the highest elevation at 1892 metres. The park named after the
peak, extends over three districts, Dakshin Kannada (South Kanara), Chickmaglur
and parts of Udupi and stretches between Narasimha Parvatha (in Sringeri Taluk)
in the north to the Jamalabad Fort (in Belthangady Taluk) in the south. The
