Nazanin Afshin-Jam the first runner-up to Miss
World 2003 pageant held in Sanya, China, was born in Tehran, Iran and migrated to Canada
in 1981. She graduated from the University of British Columbia with a double
major degree in Political Science and International Relations and has
studied in France and England. She is also an international model and actress. She
was the Miss World
Canada 2003 in Toronto.
Nazanin had achieved many service awards for volunteer work, education
and has had special training in public speaking, dance, competitive sports, Broadcast Journalism and
survival skills. She has appeared in several
television shows, movies and music videos. Nazanin's passion is exploring and
she has traveled extensively around the world. She is also a pilot and is licensed for both powered aircraft and
gliders and has achieved the highest rank in The
Royal Canadian Air Cadets.
She lives in
Vancouver balancing a successful career as a model, actress and Global Youth
Facilitator.
