Spinach Potato Soup
Ingredients :
- Chopped Spinach - 1/2cup
- Butter
- 1dsp
- Finely chopped big onion - 1/4cup
- Flour
- 1dsp
- Cooked & minced potatoes - 1/4cup
- Ripe Tomatoes cut into pieces - 1/2kg
- Clove
- 6
- Cinnamon
- 2,1 inch pieces
- Salt,
pepper -
to taste
- Bread croutons
Method :
Partially cook the spinach in steam. Put the butter
in a sauce pan. Before the butter becomes ghee add the chopped onion and saute.
Put the flour into it and saute well. After that add the potato and then the tomatoes,
clove, cinnamon and the prepared spinach into it . When it is done add
2 cups of water into it. Remove from fire after boiling and strain. If the soup
is thick you can add some more boiled water. Add salt and pepper
powder. Serve hot with bread croutons.
