Spinach Soup

Ingredients

  • Red Spinach    - 250gm
  • Water               - 11/2cup
  • Medium Size onion - 1
  • Rice powder     - 1tsp
  • Butter                - 1tsp
  • Milk                  - 1cup
  • Bread Croutons

Method :

To make white sauce heat the butter in a pan, add rice powder. Do not allow  the colour of the rice powder to change. After a second remove it from fire and add hot milk to it. Stir it well. Return this mixture into fire and boil on a low flame till it thickens. Keep it aside.

Chop the onion and spinach finely. Cook this with a little water. Grind it well in a mixer. Keep this in a pan to boil. When it begins to boil, add the white sauce and salt into it. Remove from fire after a minute. Serve hot with bread pieces fried in ghee.
