Drum Stick Soup

Method 1

Ingredients :

  • Drum Stick            - 3
  • Chopped Onion    - 1
  • Garlic                   - 2flakes
  • Tomato                 - 1
  • Grinded cumin & pepper - 1/2tsp
  • Salt                       - to taste

For White Sauce

  • Corn Flour    - 1tsp
  • Milk             - 1/2cup

Method of Preparation : 

Cut the drumstick into small pieces and cook it in a pressure cooker. Take out the flesh from the drumstick pieces grind,strain and keep aside.

Mix the corn flour in milk to make the white sauce.

Cook the chopped tomato, garlic and onion together. Grind and strain it. Add this and salt to the drumstick solution. Heat the solution. Add white sauce. If needed some water can also be added. Serve hot.

Method 2

Ingredients :

1. Flesh of the drumstick which is removed after cooking        -1/4kg
2. Medium size tomato cut into 4 pieces - 3
Grated Carrot        - 1/2cup
Chopped Beans   - 1/2cup
Chopped Cabbage - 1/2cup
4. Flour                     - 2dsp
5. Milk                      - 1cup
3. Butter                    - 1dsp

Salt, Pepper Powder -  to taste

Method of Preparation : 

Cook the 2nd ingredients in a pressure cooker with 2 cups of water. Grind and sieve it and keep aside.

To make white sauce saute butter and flour in a pan. Do not allow  the colour of the flour to change. When it is done, remove from fire and add the milk. Mix well and filter.

Boil the sieved liquid (Soup) with 4 cups of water. When it boils add the white sauce. Boil again for a minute. Remove from fire. Add the cooked drumstick fresh, salt and pepper powder. Serve hot.
