Semolina Vada

Ingredients : 

  • Semolina (Rava)  - 1cup
  • Butter or ghee     - 1tsp
  • Milk (enough to make a batter with Semolina (rava)                 
  • Soda powder      - 1/4tsp
  • Chopped onion   - 2 dsp
  • Green chillies cut into round pieces - 1dsp
  • Finely chopped ginger - 1/2dsp
  • Finely chopped coriander leaves - 1dsp
  • Salt                    - to taste

Method :

Mix semolina and butter with the hands. Take some cold milk and dissolve soda powder in it. Add this to the semolina and make a thick batter. Add all the other ingredients to it. Heat oil in a pan. Shape the batter into round balls with a small hole (like doughnuts) in the middle and deep fry. Serve hot.
