Onion Bajee
Ingredients :
- Besan
Flour
- 1cup
- Big
Onion
- 1
- Chilli Powder
- 1/4tsp

- Asafoetida
- a pinch
- Salt
- to taste
- Rice
Powder
- 1tbs
- Oil
- to fry
- Finely Chopped Curry Leaves - 1/2tsp
Method :
Cut the Onions into thin slices. Mix the flour with
salt, chilli powder, asafoetida, curry leaves and rice powder in approximately 3/4cup
of water. The dough should not be too thick nor too loose. Now put the onion pieces into the flour. The layers of the onion
should not be separated. Heat oil in a pan. Put the onions dipped in the flour
into the oil and deep fry. When it turns golden brown remove from the oil.
Note : Potato Bajee, Brinjal Bajee, Chilly
Bajee (Big chillies not very hot) can also be prepared in the same way.
