Goan Fish Pulao
Ingredients:
- Rice - 2cups
- Mussels or shell fish - 1cup
- Finely chopped big onion - 1no
- Finely chopped tomato
- 1no
- Ground green chillies - 3nos

- Red chilies - 4nos
- Bay leaves - 3
- Cinnamon - 1"piece
- Cloves - 3nos
- Cardamoms - 4nos
- Turmeric - 1/2tsp
- Red chilli powder - 1tsp
- Oil - 3tbs
- Salt - to taste
Method of Preparation :
Wash and soak rice for 1/2hour. Drain.
Heat oil in a pan. Saute bay leaves, cinnamon, cloves,
cardamoms and red chilies. Add green chilli paste and stir for a minute. Add
onions and sauté till golden.
Add chopped tomatoes and simmer for 2 minutes. Add the
shell fish or mussels and fry for 5 minutes. Add salt, turmeric, red chilli
powder and fry for 7-10 minutes.
Add rice and 3 cups of water and mix well. Cover the pan and cook till
rice is done. Serve hot.
