Onion Bajee

Ingredients :    

Besan Flour

- 1cup

Big Onion

- 1

Chilli Powder

- 1/4 tsp

Asafoetida

- a pinch

Salt

- to taste

Rice Powder

- 1tbs

Oil

- to fry
Finely Chopped Curry Leaves - 1/2 tsp

 

Method : 

Cut the Onions into thin slices. Mix the flour with salt, chilli powder, asafoetida, curry leaves and rice powder in approximately 3/4 cup of water. The dough should not be too thick nor too loose. Now put the onion pieces into the flour. The layers of the onion should not be separated. Heat oil in a pan. Put the onions dipped in the flour into the oil and deep fry. When it turns golden brown remove from the oil.
