National Parks & Amusement Parks - Snake Park | Guindy National Park | Anna Zoological Park | Kishkintha | MGM Dizzy World

Snake Park
It is located at Sardar Vallabbai Patel Road within the area of the Guindy National Park.  Visit :  Wednesday to Monday from 0830 to 1730. Tuesday holiday. There are more than 40 species of common snakes of India ranging from the dark deadly 'King Cobra', 'Banded' Krait' to Puff adders', vipers, pythons and alligators. The crocodiles,  chameleons, monitor lizards and tortoises can also be seen in their natural setting.

Guindy National Park
This is the countries only Wildlife Sanctuary within a city's limits. This park set up in 1976 is spread over an area of 27.6 sq. km. Raj Bhavan, the Governor's mansion, occupies one end of the park, and at the other is the beautiful forest - girt campus of Chennai's famous Indian Institute of Technology. The Snake park and the Children’s park are situated within the area of the park, but have separate entrances. The nearest rail head, airport and town is Chennai, at a distance of 5km.

Anna Zoological Park
Situated on the outskirts of Chennai city (32 km), the sprawling 1,265 acre (510 hectare) Anna Zoological Park is said to be one of the biggest in South Asia. The park has a rich population of tropical mammals, birds and reptiles amongst others. The nearest railhead is Vandalur (1km). 
Open on all days except Tuesdays, from 11 am to 7 pm. Sunday and Holidays from 10 am to 8 pm.

Kishkintha
Kishkintha was the first theme amusement park to be set up near Chennai. Located 28 Km south of Chennai near Tambaram and spread over 110 acres, the park offers exciting rides and attractions. Kishkinta is only 5 km. from the Tambaram Railway Station / Bus Terminus. 
Weekdays (Mon-Sat) - 10:30 AM to 07:00 PM, Sundays & Holidays - 10:30 AM to 08:00 PM. Rates - Fun Pack - Adult: Rs. 230/- Child: Rs. 180/-, Mega Fun Pack - Adult: Rs. 350/- Child: Rs. 250/-

M G M Dizzy World
Situated 28 km south of Chennai, this amusement park is situated at Muttukkadu enroute to Mamallapuram. 
Timing: 10.30 am to 9 pm.
