Sajjangarh wildlife sanctuary which encircles the Sajjangarh Palace alias Monsoon palace is a popular tourist destination for adventure seekers, located at a distance 5kms west of Udaipur. Established in 1987, Sajjangarh wildlife sanctuary covering an area of 5.19 square kilometres is a reserve for nilgai, sambhar, tiger, reptiles, wild boars, hyena, panther and jackal. Sajjangarh wildlife sanctuary is an ideal place for bird enthusiasts. Sajjangarh wildlife sanctuary can also be approached by a trek starting from the Gorilla Point to the Jiyan Sagar or the Bari Lake to enjoy the scenic beauty of the Aravalli hills and the wildlife of the reserve forest.
