Dasarajagarh, situated near Chhend Colony was once renowned for a fort. Now only the ruins of the fort can be seen in the confluence of Koyal and Shank. It is said that, king of Dasaraja who was the grandfather of Vedavyasa, had made his capital here and hence the name Dasarajagarh.
