Ekamra Haat, sprawls over 5 acres of land
is the gateway to craft and textiles of Bhubaneshwar, located in the heart
of the city. This craft village consists of 42 shopping units, 10 food
stalls, 8 open space, an amphitheatre with seating capacity of 450, two
dormitories etc. The architectural design of the hut like shops along
with sprawling grass mounds provide the ambience of the most naturally
rural Orissan village. These shops showcases different varieties of handicraft
and handloom products made by the artisans and weavers from different
parts of the State as well as from outside. One can find the display of
stone carving, wood carving, appliqué, pattachitra, cane and bamboo,
dhokra, bell metal, terracotta, palm leaf engraving, paper machie, art
textiles such as bandha sarees from Sambalpur and Nuapatana etc at the
various shops of Ekamra Haat. Ekamra Haat is open on all week-days from
10am to 10pm.
