Bhopal Gate also known by the names Martyr's Memorial or Shahid Gate is located in Old Bhopal on a major road to Shahjehanbad near to Lalghati, about 3kms from city center. Built during the reign of the Nawabs, the structure has been transformed into a memorial to commemorate the freedom fighters of the Indian Independence movement. Martyr's Memorial houses an ever-glowing torch in honour of local heroes.
